Here's a pic of the kiddos playing in early February (E often likes a pony tail - it's so cute!)

Well, our snowman is falling over considerably...it's sort of a game to me to see how long it can bend over without breaking! Here's E with it.

Last week all three little kiddos managed to get sick. Sweet little Derek had a rough go, and while he wasn't completely stuffed up, he had a hard time sleeping. Several times he needed to be held until after he had fallen asleep. He has also taken to loving to suck on my hair - I think it's a comfort thing and will now wrap his arms around my neck to grab my pony tail. I'll take it as a hug :).

Zach is still very much into his World War II airplanes and has been working on his most recent kits. He has both theaters (divided, or course) hanging from his ceiling. I've also had him reading about astronomy recently for school; he's taken it and ran with it, reading multiple books from the library and using the telescope. Brian has been enjoying the space books, too, and even Emily knows Orion :). Today Brian was working on copying the names of the planets from one of his books; here are a few pics.

Chess has been a common occurance in the house lately, and even the littles like to get the pieces and 'play' with them, moving the pieces at random (a pawn can jump, right? :)).

A few days ago I was changing Derek's clothes and Brian came bounding in...he loves his baby brother. He began giving him the loudest raspberries on D's tummy! He also tickled him and Derek just kept giggling. It was super cute.

And yesterday was the most pronounced, but boy does Derek like to screech! Just for the fun of it, and ear splitting at that. We got a cute video. Today he started doing it as he was laying next to Emily and she said he scared him :).

Oh, and Emily now has the last of her two year molars poking through. The third has almost completely erupted and the fourth is just started to come through. No wonder she's been a little more whiny than normal! But she likes to show them off and then talk about how D has two new teeth as well.

Here's a cute picture from the beginning of Feb.

A funny thing Emily said recently...Zach was trying to explain how she is his sister, to which she replied, "Nope, I'm Emily." She's having a hard time understanding that while she is Emily, she is also a sister and a daughter, and a girl (but not a baby though we call her baby girl), and even a little lady. But she's got a lot of other things figured out :). Her speech is super clear and she speaks with pretty long sentences. She also managed to cause a laugh about a month or two ago when J was leaving and getting snuggles. She'll give kisses on the cheek and so as J was trying to get such a kiss he said, "Hit me!" and pointed to his cheek. She took it literally and slapped him :).
